John Clancy has been performing and teaching improvisational theater since 1992. As a former Washington State artist-in-residence, he performed throughout the state and cultivated the cooperative, creative and communication skills in thousands of school children. John is also a playwright, director, storyteller, writer and editor. Familiar with a wide range of disciplines, John has translated numerous scientific research articles into layman’s terms for the Nephrogenic Diabetes Insipidus Foundation. He now divides his time between TransFormance Theater (John has been a member of the troupe since 1993) and working as the program director for The Funhouse, a children's discovery center on Orcas Island. In both arenas he is able to help people of all ages clarify their dreams and bring them into reality.
